Measurement Guide for Pet Accessories
Buying pet products can be tricky because no two dogs are exactly alike. Fortunately I am more than happy to customize any of my pet products to fit your dog's unique size. Please use the measurement guides below to ensure a perfect fit for your pet.
What you'll need:
A measuring tape OR a piece of string, yarn, or other flexible material that you can mark and measure later.
For Fitted Hats
(Santa, Elf, Pom Pom Beanies, Bunny Ears, Leprechaun, etc.)
When measuring for hats, I generally need the following three measurements:
1. All the way around the front your dog's head/face: from the forehead, in front of the ears, under the chin, and back up to the forehead.
2. From the side base of one ear, around the forehead, to the base of the other
3. Across the forehead between the ears (from the top of one ear to the top of the other)
For Crowns
(Standard crown, flower crown, etc.)
Measure around the top of your dog's head, under the ears: starting underneath/at the base of one ear, measure up and around the front of the forehead, down to the base of the other ear, under neath it, then back up to the top of the head, and down to the ear where you started. This should be a little more than double measurement #2 above.
For Wreaths
(Christmas wreath, St. Patrick's Day shamrock wreaths, etc.)
Loosely measure the space about halfway between your dog's neck and chest (where you would like the wreath to hang).
